NEWS RELEASE - SEPTEMBER 7, 2007
IMA FILES APPLICATION FOR LEAVE TO APPEAL WITH THE SUPREME COURT OF CANADA
IMA EXPLORATION INC.'s ("IMA") (IMR-AMEX, IMR-TSX.V) Management announces that
its Application for Leave to Appeal the decision of the Court of Appeal for
British Columbia in Minera Aquiline Argentina SA v IMA Exploration Inc. and
Inversiones Mineras Argentinas S.A. was filed on September 6, 2007 with the
Supreme Court of Canada.
In order to obtain Leave to Appeal, IMA has to demonstrate that the case raises
an issue of national importance or that it is otherwise of such nature or
significance as to warrant a decision by the Supreme Court of Canada.
The Memorandum of Argument will be posted on IMA's website at
imaexploration.com.
IMA anticipates receiving a decision on its Application for Leave to Appeal late
in 2007 or early 2008. The Respondent has 30 days in which to file its response.
IMA will then have the opportunity to file a brief reply.
