Item 8.01. Other Events
On November 28, 2008, a subsidiary of Pennsylvania Real Estate Investment Trust entered into a letter agreement with the lenders of the existing mortgage loan on Exton Square Mall in Exton, Pennsylvania that provided for an extension of the mortgage loan to December 15, 2008 from December 1, 2008. The lenders on the mortgage loan are Prudential Retirement Insurance and Annuity Company and New York Life Insurance Company.
