Brasil Telecom Clarifies Bovespa’s Consultation


In response to a consultation made by Bovespa on August 06, 2003, which is free translated below:

 

“Considering that the Board of Directors, in a Meeting held on August 05, 2003, approved the acquisition, by the company, of its own shares to be kept in treasury or future sale or to be canceled, we request the termination date of this acquisition”.

  

Brasil Telecom clarifies that the Shares Buyback Program will be terminated on August 04, 2004.

Brasil Telecom remains at your disposal for any clarification that is made necessary.
