Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.

On May 9, 2011, Thomas C. Norris retired from the Board of Directors of The York Water Company pursuant to the Company’s retirement policy. Mr. Norris had been a director of the Company for 11 years, starting in June 2000. Mr. Norris served as Chairman of the Board of Directors from 2008 to 2011. Mr. Norris will be designated as a Director Emeritus. George W. Hodges will succeed Mr. Norris as Chairman of the Board of Directors.
