If so, attach an explanation of the anticipated change, both narratively and quantitatively, and, if appropriate, state the reasons why a reasonable estimate of the results cannot be made. |
It is expected that the Registrants sales and cost of sales be approximately $5.0 million and approximately $3.8 million for the three months ended September 30, 2008 compared to $7.1 million and $5.2 million for the three months ended September 30, 2007, respectively. The decrease in sales and cost of sales recorded in this quarter compared to those for the three months ended September 30, 2007 were attributable primarily to decreases in sales of our parts manufactured from bulk Liquidmetal alloys to consumer electronics customers and royalties on products sold by our licensees as a result of decreased demand in electronic casings applications, a decrease in sales of our coatings products as a result of decrease in demand in oil drilling applications, and a decrease in our research and development contracts.
