Petah Tikva, Israel, September 8, 2008 – Gilat Satellite Networks Ltd. (Nasdaq: GILT) today announced it has completed deployment of a SkyEdge broadband satellite network for Administradora de Redes (Aduanett), a private company owned by Honduras’ leading customs brokers.
Administradora de Redes will use the VSAT network to provide customs offices and other Honduran businesses with private networking services including interactive data, broadband Internet access, and Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP).
“Throughout Honduras, the deployment of satellite networking is the only way we can secure the broadband communications needed to ensure peak business efficiency and productivity,” said Administradora de Redes General Manager Sandra López. “Gilat’s SkyEdge has proven its effectiveness in many other remote locations worldwide and we believe this new network is ideally suited for our application requirements.”
