NAM TAI ELECTRONICS, INC. ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING RESULTS

SHENZHEN, PRC – June 7, 2013 – Nam Tai Electronics, Inc. (“Nam Tai” or the “Company”) (NYSE:NTE) today announced the results of the Company’s Annual Meeting of Shareholders (the “AGM”) held in Shenzhen, China on May 31, 2013.

At the AGM, the shareholders approved and ratified (i) the appointment of Mr. Ming Kown Koo, Mr. Charles Chu, Mr. Peter R. Kellogg, Dr. Wing Yan (William) Lo and Mr. Mark Waslen as members of the Board of Directors to serve for the ensuing year; and (ii) appointment of Moore Stephens as independent registered public accounting firm of the Company for the year ending December 31, 2013.
