GOL Announces Traffic Statistics for January 2007
São Paulo, February 5, 2007 - GOL Linhas Aéreas Inteligentes (NYSE: GOL and Bovespa: GOLL4), Brazils low fare, low cost airline, today released preliminary passenger statistics for the month of January 2007. System-wide passenger traffic (RPK) increased 70% and capacity (ASK) increased 64% year-over-year. GOLs system load factor for the month of January 2007 was 76%.
Domestic passenger traffic (RPK) for January increased 61% and capacity (ASK) increased 54%. GOLs domestic load factor for the month of January 2007 was 77%. International passenger traffic (RPK) for January increased 174% and capacity (ASK) increased 173%. International load factor for the month of January 2007 was 68%. Average fares were reduced approximately 15% versus January 2006 (and were up approximately 1% vs. December 2006).
