“America Movil to acquire wireless operator in Jamaica"
MEXICO CITY, México, August 23, 2007 -- América Móvil, S.A.B. de C.V. (“AMX”) (BMV: AMX; NYSE: AMX; Nasdaq: AMOV; LATIBEX: XAMXL) announced today that it has reached an agreement to acquire 100% of the shares of capital stock of Oceanic Digital Jamaica Limited (“Oceanic”). The completion of the transaction is subject to regulatory approvals and other conditions and is expected to close during the fourth quarter of 2007.
Oceanic provides wireless and value added services throughout Jamaica.
