“América Móvil obtains license in Panama”
MEXICO CITY, MEXICO, May 7, 2008 -- América Móvil, S.A.B. de C.V. (“AMX”) (BMV: AMX; NYSE: AMX; Nasdaq: AMOV; LATIBEX: XAMXL), announced today that the offer submitted in the public auction for the provision of mobile voice, data and video services (PCS) in Panama was the winning bid. The license obtained by its Panamanian subsidiary, Claro Panamá, S.A., grants the right for the use and exploitation of 30 megahertz in the 1900 megahertz band for a 20-year period.
