“América Móvil acquired 20% of StarOne”

Mexico City, Mexico, July 29, 2011 -- América Móvil, S.A.B. de C.V. (“AMX”) (BMV: AMX; NYSE: AMX; Nasdaq: AMOV; LATIBEX: XAMXL), announced today that, after obtaining required regulatory authorizations, its subsidiary Empresa Brasileira de Telecomunicações S.A. – Embratel, has acquired 20% of the shares representing the capital stock of StarOne S.A. (“StarOne”). Consequently, and as of the date hereof, AMX is the holder of 100% of StarOne.

StarOne is a Brazilian company that provides satellite services in Brazil.
