Quebec City, Quebec, June 20, 2003 - CGI Group Inc. (CGI) (TSX: GIB.A; NYSE: GIB;) announced today that it has acquired the remaining 33% stake of Quebec city-based SoluConseil. When CGI completed the purchase of Cognicase earlier this year, Cognicase held a 67% equity holding in SoluConseil. The closing date of the transaction is today June 20, 2003.
Established in 1999, SoluConseil employs 55 professionals with a strong track record, based in Quebec City and Montreal. The companys current revenue run-rate is CDN$6 million with a order backlog of CDN$4 million. They provide management consulting services specializing in areas such as electronic service delivery, business process design and enterprise architecture. Their clients are mostly within the Quebec government sector.
We saw real benefits in quickly consolidating our teams and our skill sets. SoluConseil brings CGI high-caliber professionals and helps us grow our team as we continue to expand our presence and offerings in the area of management consulting and organizational transformation, said Claude Marcoux, senior vice-president for Quebec City, CGI.
