Montreal, Quebec, May 27, 2004 - McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) and CGI Group Inc. (CGI) (TSX: GIB.A; NYSE: GIB) today announced the signing of a five-year information technology (IT) outsourcing contract renewal valued at CDN$18 million. CGI will continue to assume responsibility for mainframe data center operations and mainframe printing services.
We are very pleased with our partnership with CGI which spans over 10 years. During this time we have developed a solid business relationship and CGI has developed a clear view of our needs. The more we collaborate, the more we find ways of being more efficient and saving money that can be reinvested as a result in systems and infrastructure to support patient care, said Jean Huot, chief information officer of Syscor, the MUHCs IT company.
