Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of

Effective August 15, 2010, Don O’Shea, Controller of PNGS GP LLC, the general partner of PAA
Natural Gas Storage, L.P. (“PNG”), was elected to the additional position of Chief Accounting
Officer. Tina Summers, who previously served as Chief Accounting Officer of PNG, is retiring from
the company on August 31, 2010.
Mr. O’Shea, age 39, has served as Controller of PNG since February 2010. From November 2009
to January 2010, he served as Director, Special Projects of Plains All American GP LLC, the general
partner of Plains All American Pipeline, L.P. Prior thereto, Mr. O’Shea spent 15 years working for
the accounting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP.
