Mylan Announces Investor Roadshow Regarding the King Acquisition and Update on Nebivolol
Pittsburgh, PA September 14, 2004 Mylan Laboratories Inc. (NYSE: MYL) today announced that it will be scheduling a conference call for November 1, 2004, which will be followed by an investor roadshow regarding the planned acquisition of King Pharmaceuticals and an update on its nebivolol opportunity. At that time, the Company will be providing financial guidance on a prospective basis for the combined company, as well as for Mylan on a stand-alone basis.
Immediately prior to the roadshow, Mylan plans to release its second quarter fiscal 2005 earnings results during its regular quarterly conference call on October 28, 2004. In addition, the Company expects to announce its revised earnings guidance for fiscal 2005, which was previously suspended in June 2004.
Mylan Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Robert J. Coury stated, We are excited to announce our promised investor roadshow regarding the King acquisition and nebivolol, which will further illustrate the tremendous opportunity for our shareholders. Once the Mylan and King organizations are combined, we are confident that we will be able to achieve, on a cash EPS basis, a much higher growth rate than Mylan on a stand-alone basis, which we believe will result in greater long-term shareholder value. We are also anxious to provide investors with an update on nebivolol, the New Drug Application for which is currently under review by the Food and Drug Administration.
