INTRODUCTORY NOTE
On November 10, 2005 Sparton Corporation issued a Press Release announcing the results of the jury trial held in Detroit, Michigan in the matter of Sparton Technology, Inc. v. Util-LINK, LLC and the National Rural Telecommunications Cooperative.

On November 10, 2005 Sparton Corporation, an Ohio Corporation (the “Company”) issued a Press Release (“Press Release”) announcing the results of the jury trial held in Detroit, Michigan in the matter of Sparton Technology, Inc. v. Util-LINK, LLC and the National Rural Telecommunications Cooperative
