INTRODUCTORY NOTE
On March 23, 2006 Sparton Corporation issued a Press Release announcing the signing of a letter of intent to acquire Astro Instrumentation, LLC located in Strongsville, Ohio.

On March 23, 2006 Sparton Corporation, an Ohio Corporation (the “Company”) issued a Press Release (“Press Release”) announcing the signing of a letter of intent to acquire Astro Instrumentation, LLC located in Strongsville, Ohio. Astro manufactures and sells a variety of specialized medical products.
