Most people know Krisp from one of two things: the noise cancellation that strips a barking dog out of a call, or the bot-free AI note taker that writes up the meeting without joining it. Both are accurate. Both are still growing. And both run on the same voice AI core as the company's contact center platform.
That's the side where the core has expanded fastest.
Krisp has been a voice AI company since it was founded in 2017 - not a meetings company that bolted on audio, not an audio company that bolted on notes. The research has always pointed at one problem: processing human speech in real time, well enough that the person on the other end doesn't have to work to understand you. The noise cancellation that won a spot in TIME's Best Inventions of 2020 was the first commercial expression of that. It wasn't the last.
One voice AI core, two very different rooms
The through-line is easy to follow. Noise Cancellation came first. From that same voice AI core, Krisp expanded into meeting notes, Accent Conversion, and real-time Voice Translation. For knowledge workers those assembled into one package covering a meeting end to end: clean audio in, understandable speech across accents, and with no bot sitting in the call notes, action items, and a transcript out. The point was never just the write-up. It's that you can be present in the meeting instead of half-documenting it.
Contact centers need all of that, plus things a meeting never asks for: QA coverage on every call, compliance evidence, multilingual capacity on demand, and fraud screening on the voice channel. Same speech engine, much heavier requirements around it. So that side of the product grew its own shape, and in June 2025 Krisp consolidated it into a single platform launched at CCW Vegas.
What's in the contact center platform
The Krisp contact center Voice AI solution groups its capabilities into four areas, all inside one desktop application.
Speech Assist handles how the conversation sounds: noise cancellation, real-time accent conversion for the accents common in contact center workforces, and bidirectional translation across 60+ languages with a live bilingual transcript. Translation targets interpreter spend, which runs $1-$3 a minute.
Agent Assist works alongside the agent during and immediately after the call. It provides live captions, brings in answers from approved knowledge sources, delivers required messages with one click, and prepares automatic summaries and dispositions for the CRM.
Speech Analytics scores every call post-call rather than the 1-2% that a manual QA program typically samples, with compliance flags anchored to the moment in the transcript.
Voice Security screens callers for signs of cloned voices within seconds of the call starting and verifies that the agent on the line is the person the company hired. The broader fraud risk is rising quickly: Deloitte projects that generative AI could enable fraud losses in the United States to reach $40 billion by 2027, up from $12.3 billion in 2023. Krisp announced Voice Security and Speech Analytics in June 2026, the same month Krisp won Disruptive Technology of the Year at the CCW Excellence Awards, presented by CMP Research.
Why the deployment model matters
Krisp installs the same way in a 5,000-seat BPO as on a laptop: at the OS level, between the headset and whatever platform the agent calls from. Any softphone, from the first call.
That matters more than it sounds. Most contact center AI integrates into the telephony stack: longer procurement, platform lock-in, a rip-and-replace if the CCaaS changes. For BPOs juggling dozens of client stacks, CCaaS-agnostic usually beats best-of-breed-per-platform. SOC 2 Type II, HIPAA, PCI-DSS 4.0, and GDPR are already in place, so security review doesn't become the bottleneck either.
The scale behind it is the same scale behind the consumer product: 200 million+ devices, 80 billion+ voice minutes a month, and 2,500+ contact centers including 87 of the Fortune 500, across 300,000+ seats.
Several published results are customer-attributed. TTEC reported an 11-point NPS lift, from 74 to 85, and a 26% increase in sales conversions. iContact recorded a 25% drop in average handle time and a 15% CSAT gain. SupportZebra logged a 78% decrease in noise complaints. Movate saw new agents reach proficiency 2.5x faster.
The pattern worth watching
Vendors consolidating voice AI in CX either start with an analytics dashboard and work backward toward the audio, or start at the signal layer and expand out. The second route is harder to displace, because everything downstream - translation accuracy, QA scoring, deepfake detection - depends on how clean the input is.
Krisp took that route, then ran it into two markets at once. The contact center platform doesn't replace the noise cancellation app or the AI note taker. It's the same voice AI, built out for a room where every call carries more weight.
