Boersma to spearhead GIPS^® compliance and investment performance regulation consulting services

Meradia, recognized globally as the industry-leading consulting firm for Investment Performance transformation projects, has hired Jonathan A. Boersma, CFA. With Boersma’s addition, Meradia will expand its Investment Performance practice to include advisory services related to Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS^®) compliance, implementation, and pre-verification as well as investment performance regulation.

Boersma spent 17 years at CFA Institute where he served as Head of Professional Standards and Executive Director of the Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS^®), as well as being responsible for the oversight of all aspects of the CFA Institute Professional Standards. As the Executive Director of the GIPS standards, he led the development of their 2010 edition, paved the way for asset owners to adopt the framework, helped the standards address pooled vehicles, and created the vision and strategy for the 2020 edition. More recently, he led several investment managers through strategic planning and compliance training at his prior consultancy, Basis Point Solutions, which he founded in 2017. He will leverage this expertise to help Meradia’s clients transform operations in accordance with the GIPS standards plus existing and forthcoming investment performance regulations.
