Seven-track rock album brings decades of songwriting to life through new recordings and collaborations

Rock musician Mitch Malone today released his debut solo album, Dreams of Fire. The seven-track album revisits songs conceived in the early 2000s, reimagined to reflect Malone's evolution as a musician.

Rather than simply releasing the original recordings, Malone returned to the material with a fresh perspective, transforming a project from his past into a new creative experience.

The album's title comes from a lyric in Malone's first solo single, "Spider's Web": "My dreams are filled with fire." Originally expressing romantic passion, the phrase came to represent the creative drive that kept the music alive for more than two decades.

"These songs have been part of my life for a very long time, but finishing the album became something much bigger than revisiting the past," said Malone. "As we experimented with new arrangements and sounds, the project took on a life of its own. To me, Dreams of Fire is a dynamic history, like a diary of the past and present."

Blending classic rock with modern alternative rock, Dreams of Fire explores longing, relationships, loss and resilience. The album features previously released singles "Spider's Web" and "The Great Divide," both accompanied by music videos directed and produced by Malone's daughter, Madison Malone.

Malone composed the music for all seven tracks and produced the album, which was recorded, mixed and mastered by Joshua Booth at Chestnut Mountain Studios in Cashiers, North Carolina. The record features lyrics by Brian "Daz" Wass and Mark Vella, along with vocal contributions from Matthew Oschmann and Madison Malone.
