PHILADELPHIA, Sept. 29, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Kehoe Law Firm, P.C. is investigating potential securities claims on behalf of investors who purchased Deep Fission, Inc. ("Deep Fission" or the "Company") (NASDAQ: FISN) common stock in or traceable to the Company’s June 2026 initial public offering ("IPO") and/or in the open market following the IPO.

In its IPO, Deep Fission sold 2.5 million shares at $16 per share in the offering, raising $40 million in gross proceeds. Before the offering, the Company promoted a target levelized cost of electricity of $50–$70 per megawatt-hour. Its June 2026 prospectus later disclosed reactor-level estimates that included approximately $152 million in capital costs for an initial commercial reactor and approximately $84 million per reactor for a planned larger configuration. The Company described those figures as reflecting certain estimates and assumptions then being used internally by management.

After the offering, Deep Fission continued to make public statements about the expected cost and speed of deploying its reactors. In September 2026, the Company described drilling at the required diameter and depth as routine commercial work and said its underground design was expected to reduce construction costs and shorten schedules. It also stated that it was targeting commercial deployment as early as 2027.

On September 24, 2026, Iceberg Research published a short-seller report challenging Deep Fission’s projected reactor economics and commercialization plans.

Following publication of the short-seller report, Deep Fission’s stock price fell approximately 11%, declining from a prior-day close of $7.80 to close at $6.95 per share.
