-- The European Product Design Award (EPDA) has announced the winners of its 2026 edition, marking 10 years of celebrating the people and ideas shaping the future of product design. This year, submissions came from more than 83 countries, with winning projects spanning everything from architecture, mobility, and consumer electronics to packaging, eco design, and medical devices.
Over the past decade, EPDA has recognized thoughtful and forward-looking designs that improve the way we live, work, and interact with the world around us. Across more than 800 categories, the program showcases products that bring together creativity, innovation, and practical impact—from everyday objects to ambitious new technologies.
The 2026 winners represent a mix of established global brands, emerging studios, independent designers, and young talents from leading design schools around the world. This year’s winning lineup includes names such as Philips, PARTISANS, XPENG, TECNO, Baidu, Emma, and Galbot, alongside a diverse group of designers and teams bringing fresh ideas to the industry.

- GALBOT S1 by Galbot, designed by Yong Zheng (China) — named Product Design of the Year, the highest honor of the 2026 program.
- TECNO Modular Phone by TECNO, designed by a team led by Tong Li, Jieren Sun, Haitao Wang, Hong Li, Xiangyang Wei, Yuanfang Wu, Xiaoyong Rui, and Yuejin Zhang (China) — awarded Innovation of the Year for reimagining the architecture of the modern smartphone.
- Incuvia – Modular Foldable Baby Incubator designed by Albert Ko and Adrian Lo (Hong Kong) — winner of Design for Humanity, recognizing design's power to improve access to neonatal care.
- MX Surgical designed by Niklas Andreasen, a student from Umeå Institute of Design (Germany) — named Emerging Product Designer of the Year, spotlighting rising talent in medical and surgical design.
- ALUMINATION, by PARTISANS, designed by Alex Josephson (Canada) — awarded Best Furniture Design.
- XPENG GX by Guangzhou Xiaopeng Automobile Technology Co., Ltd., designed by JuanMa Lopez, Wang Tan, and FERRAG Rafik (China) — awarded Best Mobility Design.
- A Decade of Rain designed by Si Zheng (China) — awarded Best in Communication.
- MECO Razor Packaging by MECO, designed by Benjamin Avery (United States) — awarded Best Packaging Design.
- Emma Sleep Performance Mattress by Emma Sleep (Portugal) — awarded Best Consumer Design.
- Soft-pixel by S9XY LLC, designed by Sree Krishna Pillarisetti (United States) — awarded Best Eco-Design.

A Global Field of Design Talent
The 2026 program brought together design teams and manufacturers from across the globe, with recognized entries from design hubs including Galbot, TECNO, Infinix, and XPENG, alongside contributions from Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom, and dozens of other countries. Established names such as Philips (recognized across its Avent and grooming lines) and Nuna (recognized across its DEMI™, VIAA™, and TRVL™ products) appeared alongside independent studios and first-time entrants, underscoring EPDA's role as a meeting point for global brands and emerging designers alike.
Students Make Their Mark
The Student category once again showcased design programs from around the world, with a particularly strong showing from the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) in the United States and Chulalongkorn University in Thailand, whose students earned honors across categories including Automotive & Transport, Beverage and Food, and Communication Design. Other student winners represented institutions in China, Iran, the Czech Republic, and beyond, reflecting the international reach of the next generation of product designers.

The 2026 winners will be officially celebrated in Venice, Italy, during the EPDA Awards Ceremony on October 18, marking the grand finale of Venice Design Week.
Set in one of the world's most inspiring cultural capitals, the ceremony will bring together EPDA winners, jury members, partners, and industry leaders for an evening dedicated to contemporary product design. The event will feature the official awards presentation, along with opportunities to connect with fellow professionals and immerse themselves in Venice Design Week.
