The popular products of BO, the brand of JYS in Korea, are garnering much attention in the overseas market.
JYS started as a design-developing company focusing on materials. The company's CEO, Yang, Yi-soo, who majored in fabric design, obtained his master's degree in Textile Art and Materials in America. He also received a doctoral degree in Fine Arts.
During his doctorate, he consistently researched sustainable materials, and now his papers are published. Moreover, he developed sustainable materials based on his academic experiences by applying biodegradable coating on pure cotton for baby products.
Under its philosophy, BO is the first brand in Korea to introduce 100% disposable cotton bibs, table mats, diaper changing pads, and dry tissues with safe materials, production processes, and designs that parents can easily use them. As a result, it became one of the well-known brands of baby products in Korea.
A company official said, "We will not stop developing baby products that consumers can use safely for children they want."
The CEO, Yang, Yi-soo, did not stop there and launched HUS:, a brand for vegan leathers using mushroom mycelium. With HUS:, he will develop various fashion items using vegan leather.
