Cumming, GA - May 25, 2026 - The City of Woodstock has awarded its residential solid waste and recycling services contract to Red Oak Sanitation & Recycling following a competitive procurement process and approval by the Woodstock City Council. The new service agreement will take effect on July 1, 2026, and will serve approximately 12,076 residential households across the city.
Under the agreement, Red Oak Sanitation & Recycling will providecomprehensive waste management services, including weekly garbage collection, single-stream recycling, yard waste removal, commercial dumpsters, and bulk item pickup.
The company will also provide customer billing support, holiday schedule coordination, recycling education initiatives, and operational support for designated municipal facilities and community events.
Service Transition and Operations
Residents will continue using their existing trash and recycling containers after the transition. Red Oak Sanitation & Recycling will manage service delivery through its local operational team, supported by modern collection vehicles and advanced routing technology designed to enhance efficiency, improve reliability, and minimize neighborhood disruption.
