BELLINGHAM, WA / ACCESS Newswire / September 9, 2026 / Trans-Ocean Products, Inc., producer of the nation's top-selling retail brand of surimi seafood, today announced several key staff promotions that recognize the contributions each have made to the company's continued focus on quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and product innovation.

Scott Rogers has been promoted to Customer Service & Supply Manager. In this position, he is responsible for leading Trans-Ocean Products' Customer Service, Logistics, Purchasing, and Materials Management functions. In addition, he will build and manage an integrated supply chain that will ultimately create new cost efficiencies from procurement to customer delivery while maintaining the company's high standards for service quality. He has been with the company for 11 years.

As Trans-Ocean's Accounting Manager, Tamara Richards will oversee the company's accounting department. In this role, she is responsible for a wide array of accounting and risk management duties, including tax compliance and reporting, working with the company's insurance brokers, overseeing month-end close, and monitoring all company financial reporting matters. In her 18 years at the company, she has held a variety of financial management positions, including Accounting Supervisor and Accounts Receivable Lead.

Laben Risser is the company's newly appointed Plant Manager. In this role, he will oversee daily operations across the Bellingham facility. This includes managing production output, equipment reliability, food safety compliance, team leadership, and solutions that ensure continuous process improvements to deliver consistent surimi seafood quality and operational excellence. In his 22-year career with Trans-Ocean, his previous roles include Production Manager and Area Supervisor.
