National Institute for STEM Education is a Finalist in Three Categories in the 2021 EdTech Awards

The National Institute for STEM Education (NISE) is a Cool Tool Award finalist in three categories of the 2021 EdTech Awards. Celebrating its 11th year, the U.S.-based awards program is the largest recognition program in all of education technology.

In the EdTech Cool Tool Awards, NISE Micro Certificates are a finalist for “badging/credentialing solution,” earning recognition in the category for the second year in a row. The National Certificate for STEM Teaching (NCST) is a finalist in the “professional development learning solution” category for the third consecutive year. In addition, the STEM-Focused Graduate Programs from American College of Education (ACE) and NISE are a finalist in the “higher education solution” category.

“STEM isn’t just about science, technology, engineering, and math; it’s about excellent teaching across the curriculum,” said Dr. Whitney Dove, senior manager for learning design and technology at NISE. “We are excited to be recognized for our solutions to help teachers advance their teaching skills in STEM and in the virtual classroom with highly targeted, affordable professional development.”

The EdTech Awards recognizes outstanding contributions in transforming education through technology to enrich the lives of learners everywhere. Featuring edtech’s best and brightest, the annual program shines a spotlight on cool tools, inspiring leaders, and innovative trendsetters across the K-12, higher education, and skills and workforce sectors. This year’s finalists and winners were narrowed from the larger field and judged based on various criteria, including pedagogical workability, efficacy and results, support, clarity, value and potential.
