Industry-recognized Leader to Spearhead Global Commercial Activities
Westinghouse Electric Company has named Jacques Besnainou as Executive Vice President, Global Markets and Chief Commercial Officer, effective immediately. In this role, Besnainou will lead Westinghouse’s global commercial strategy to deliver integrated enterprise-wide solutions and deepen customer relationships.

With more than 30 years of experience in the nuclear and energy industries, Jacques has held global executive roles with progressive expansion at the AREVA Group where he led the Back-End Business Group and the growth of the North American business. Before AREVA, he successfully developed and sold Ecobilan, an innovative start-up, specializing in life cycle analysis. More recently, he was President of Kurion, Inc, and provided executive consulting and strategic counsel across the energy and nuclear industries.
Jacques is a U.S. and French citizen and based in Pittsburgh. He earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and engineering from École Polytechnique and a master’s in engineering and public policy from École des Mines de Paris, both in France.
