Red Arts Capital, A Top Supply Chain Private Equity Firm, Continues Growth By Adding Two Key Members And Promoting Another to VP

Chris Hull is promoted to VP, Mia Cleary and Charlotte Cusan join the firm as Senior Associates

Red Arts Capital, LLC (“Red Arts Capital”), a leading middle-market, sector-focused private equity investment firm and preferred investment partner for family-owned supply chain-related businesses, announced the expansion of its investment team with the addition of Mia Cleary as a Senior Associate, and Charlotte Cusan as a Senior Associate of the Investor Relations team. The firm continues to bring in outside talent while promoting internally, as former Senior Associate, Chris Hull, becomes Vice President. The expanded growth of the team parallels the number of major deals the firm has conducted in the last several months. In December, Red Arts sold RAC MME Holdings to trucking giant Knight-Swift Transportation Holdings, Inc. In June the firm also announced the acquisition of the nationwide packaging company, Coregistics. More recently in July, Red Arts, alongside Prudential Private Capital, completed a GP-led secondary transaction with Sunset Pacific Transportation.

Chris Hull joined the firm in 2020 as MBA Associate to Senior Associate, before finding his way as VP, proving the Red Arts hiring team has a knack for finding talent. At Red Arts, Hull is responsible for deal sourcing, investment execution, and portfolio support.

Mia Cleary joins the team with a background in optimizing operational efficiencies and leading market research studies. She began her career at Deloitte in their Strategy & Operations consulting practice. She also held internships at Periscope Equity and Fusion Risk Management (a Vista Equity portfolio company). Mia received an MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a BA with Honors from Vanderbilt University. Similar to Hull, her responsibilities at Red Arts Capital will include deal sourcing, investment execution, and portfolio support.

“I am extremely excited to join the Red Arts Capital team,” said newly appointed Senior Associate, Mia Cleary. “Through their sector expertise, strong relationships, and determined team, Chad and Nick, Red Arts Capital Co-founders, have built an incredible firm. I look forward to building upon their past success and being a part of their future growth."

Also joining Cleary is Charlotte Cusan, Senior Associate on the Investor Relations team. Cusan comes to Red Arts with a strong background in investor relations. Prior to joining the firm, Charlotte worked in investor relations at Magnetar Capital, a $14 billion hedge fund based in Evanston, IL. Charlotte graduated from Lake Forest College where she earned her BA in Economics, with a minor in Mathematics.

“This is an exciting time for us,” said Nick Antoine, Co-founder and Managing Partner of Red Arts Capital. “We’re pleased to promote Chris–he’s done an excellent job executing deals and we look forward to his continued contributions to the team in his new role.” Chad Strader, Red Arts’ other Co-Founder and Managing Partner, went on to say, “Charlotte and Mia are great additions as we continue to grow both the investment team and the operations team.”

Led by Co-founders and Managing Partners, Nick Antoine and Chad Strader, Red Arts Capital has found success through producing outsized returns on investments made in the supply chain and logistics industries. The firm’s strategy is to invest in privately-owned, primarily family-owned and multi-generational businesses with solid business fundamentals and a strong track record and reputation. Overall, the firm’s pre-fund portfolio has generated over a 7.0x gross multiple on invested capital, and a 6.2x net multiple as of July 1, 2022, placing it in the top 1.4% of nearly 5,000 private equity buyout managers, according to Preqin’s database. 1
