Promega Hosts 12th Biennial PhotoMidwest Festival
Promega is hosting photography education non-profit PhotoMidwest to highlight the work of more than 60 Midwestern photographers. The 2022 Promega Fall Art Showcase will present the 12th Biennial PhotoMidwest Festival juried exhibition September 22 through December 2.
Works will be displayed at the Promega Art Showcase gallery space on the biotechnology company’s Fitchburg campus. The exhibition is juried by Aline Smithson, an interdisciplinary artist, educator, and editor based in Los Angeles.
Symposium and Opening Reception
The exhibit opens Thursday, September 22 at the Promega BioPharmaceutical Technology Center, 5445 E Cheryl Parkway in Fitchburg. An opening reception will be held 3:30-7 pm with Smithson speaking at 5 pm. The reception is free and open to the public.
Photography Workshops
Smithson will conduct two photography workshops Friday, September 23. The first workshop, Photographing with Intention, is aimed at beginning to mid-career photographers. The second, Presenting Your Work to the Fine Art Market, is intended for mid-career artists who have created a body of work. Both workshops will be hosted at Promega and are open to the public. Promega Art Showcase
The 2022 Promega Fall Art Showcase runs September 22 through December 2 and is open to the public Monday through Friday 8:00 am – 4:00 pm the Promega Biopharmaceutical Technology Center at 5445 East Cheryl Parkway.
