Fandango announced today an expansion of its AVOD (advertising-supported video on demand) streaming service formerly known as "Fandango at Home," and the unification of its consumer entertainment experiences under the Fandango brand, to create a more seamless and connected experience for consumers. The move positions Fandango as the only entertainment brand to bring together free streaming, movie ticketing, and premium rentals and purchases within a single ecosystem.
Under the new tagline, “We Love Free,” Fandango’s streaming platform now offers guest viewing which allows users to watch content for free without creating an account or logging in, designed to make it easier for audiences to access the content they love. The platform now features a streamlined “Watch Now” experience that enables instant, one-click playback of free movies and TV shows. These updates will roll out across web, mobile and connected TV platforms, with improved discovery, richer title presentation and enhanced viewing experiences. The relaunch is also supported by an expansion of Fandango's AVOD content offering. The service features a curated selection of hit movies, fan-favorite franchises, popular television series and sports programming for free, including more than 3,500 hours of programming from the Versant content library and live sports coverage featuring the Bundesliga, Germany’s top domestic soccer league, through USA Sports’ new long-term media rights agreement to present exclusive English-language coverage of the league in the U.S.
