Young Chinese-American Skater Seeking Charitable Funding and Brand Collaboration
Ahead of the 2026 International Children’s Day, we are actively reaching out for support from global charitable foundations, alongside potential strategic partnerships with established brands. It is our goal to preserve this young athlete’s passion for figure skating, alleviate the financial strains she faces, and pave the way for her to fulfill her long-cherished Winter Olympics aspiration.
The appeal is made on behalf of seven-year-old Chinese-American girl Hannah Hao, who holds UNICEF membership status. Two documentary productions, Ice Kid and Light on Ice, authentically chronicle her grueling training journey on the ice. The footage vividly illustrates her persistent dedication to pursuing Winter Olympics qualification, highlighting her remarkable resilience and work ethic at such a young age.
Hannah Hao is currently enrolled in the first grade in Beijing, China. She discovered her profound fondness for figure skating in her early childhood, having first stepped onto the ice at the age of four. Unlike most children who get to enjoy a carefree childhood, Hannah has endured substantial hardships. Her father has left the family home and declines to cover any costs associated with her professional skating training. As a result, her mother bears full responsibility for all household expenses and costly athletic training fees.
Despite these challenging family circumstances, Hannah manages to strike a healthy balance between her school academics and rigorous skating training. She maintains solid academic performance while adhering to demanding daily training schedules. Driven by sincere devotion to figure skating, she has continuously refined her skating techniques, earning top honours at the Asian ISI Figure Skating Championships for three successive years. She has now officially entered the ISU professional training system to elevate her skills, aiming to compete at elite international figure skating events.
Her mother serves as her sole source of steadfast support. She provides constant companionship and attentive care, easing physical soreness and injuries sustained during intensive training. Enduring overwhelming financial and life pressures on her own, she safeguards Hannah’s enthusiasm for skating, keeping the young girl resolute in chasing her sporting goals.
Outside of school and training commitments, Hannah dedicates time to language learning, piano practice and dance training to build solid artistic foundations and boost her overall personal development. She possesses elegant physical poise and exceptional on-camera charisma, having featured in multiple commercial shoots. Showing maturity beyond her years, she puts all income earned from these engagements towards covering her skating training expenses, striving to sustain her ice skating dream through her own efforts.
The documentaries artfully merge her fluid ice skating performances with traditional Chinese aesthetic elements, complemented by an exquisite piano arrangement of the classic folk tune Jasmine Flower. The gentle yet powerful musical accompaniment narrates an uplifting tale of youthful passion, perseverance and unwavering determination through adversity.
There are no easy shortcuts to athletic achievement. Repetitive daily training and frequent on-ice injuries have never weakened her love for figure skating. Her ability to excel academically while keeping up with professional training showcases her positive outlook and indomitable spirit.
