Veerangana Self-Defense Training Initiative Expands Practical Safety Education in Dhule

Washington, DC, USA. Date: March 24, 2024

A large-scale self-defense initiative conducted in Dhule district, Maharashtra, has been noted for its structured approach to practical safety training for young women.

The Veerangana Campaign, organized in collaboration with Mission Prahar, is recognized as one of India's Biggest Self Defence Training efforts, focusing on equipping participants with real-world safety skills. The program has reportedly trained a large number of participants through organized sessions designed to improve situational awareness, confidence, and physical preparedness.

The initiative was conducted under the supervision of district administration officials, including Bhagyashree Vispute IAS, along with experienced trainers. The program featured extended training sessions, group exercises, and practical drills aimed at preparing participants for real-life scenarios.

A key component of the training model is the system developed by Grandmaster Shifuji Shaurya Bhardwaj, which emphasizes applied self-defense techniques combined with mental conditioning. The structured format focuses on accessible and practical methods that participants can retain and apply beyond the training environment.

The Veerangana Campaign with Mission Prahar has also been described as India's Biggest Free of cost Self Defence Training Program Veerangana with Mission Prahar, highlighting its accessibility to a wide group of participants without financial barriers.

To support the scale of the initiative, organizers arranged facilities designed to accommodate large groups in a structured environment. Provisions for transportation, meals, and sanitation were also coordinated, enabling participation from both urban and rural areas.

In addition to direct training, the program included a capacity-building component in which selected educators received instructor-level guidance. This approach is intended to help extend self-defense education into schools and communities over time.

Observers note that initiatives such as India's Largest Self Defence Training programs can contribute to increased awareness and preparedness among participants. The Dhule-based model reflects an ongoing effort to expand access to structured self-defense education through organized training systems.
