Goodwill Caravan, a global charity based in London, has announced a new donation drive for their work supporting refugees from Gaza and Sudan in Egypt.

-- Goodwill Caravan is calling for donations from concerned citizens in the United Kingdom who have watched the humanitarian crisis unfold in the Gaza Strip since late 2023. The non-profit humanitarian charity, which is registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales, has a large centre in Cairo where they are actively supporting displaced families and orphaned children.

From Goodwill Caravan’s Sallam Centre Cairo, the charity is providing a myriad of support initiatives to vulnerable families and orphaned children from Gaza.
Their work is multifaceted, beginning with helping families and children secure emergency shelter, food, and medical care. As their spokesperson explained, most refugees from Gaza arrive malnourished, often with conflict injuries, and in severe need of intensive support.
Moreover, the vast majority of the children in the charity's care are orphans, with 70% having lost one or both of their parents.
As such, Goodwill Caravan is currently running a unique orphan sponsorship program for those interested donors who are able to give on a regular basis. More information on the program can be found at https://goodwillcaravan.com/sponsor-an-orphan/
Beyond emergency care, Goodwill Caravan is also working to provide holistic care that addresses the emotional needs of these refugees, most of whom are afflicted with trauma and PTSD.
They also take a more long-term view of resettlement and are focused on helping these victims begin a new life in Egypt. As such, they also provide legal assistance, help families secure longer-term housing, enrol their children in school, open bank accounts, and attain gainful employment.
From their Sallam Centre in Cairo, Goodwill Caravan is also doubling their efforts to support vulnerable Sudanese refugees, who are fleeing an equally violent and destructive civil war, one which to date has displaced more than 13 million people, according to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).
As their spokesperson said, “Fleeing the devastating effects of war, our mission is to help Sudanese and Palestinian Refugees in Egypt integrate into society so that they may have hope of building a better life for themselves.”
Goodwill Caravan calls on all British citizens to give what they can; they stress that every pound donated can make a transformative difference to a vulnerable orphan or family in need.
