New capsule format delivers the complete 2 g serving evaluated in published resistance-training research, designed to complement a wide range of protein routines.
-- VINATURA today announced the launch of VINATURA Velositol 2G, a standalone capsule supplement providing 2,000 mg of licensed Velositol in each three-capsule serving.
Velositol is a patented amylopectin-chromium complex developed by Nutrition21. The ingredient has been evaluated in published human studies when used alongside dietary protein.
Unlike products that pre-mix Velositol into a particular protein powder or multi-ingredient formula, VINATURA provides it separately. Consumers can take the capsules alongside whey, casein, plant-based protein, or a protein-containing meal without changing the protein products they already use.

Each three-capsule serving provides 2,000 mg of Velositol and 1,000 mcg of chromium as chromium histidinate and chromium picolinate. It also contains 1.7 g of carbohydrates from amylopectin and 10 calories.
The 2 g serving corresponds to the amount of the amylopectin-chromium complex used in the primary published research.
In a 2017 double-blind crossover study, researchers compared 6 g of whey protein alone with 6 g of whey protein combined with 2 g of the amylopectin-chromium complex. The combination produced a greater post-exercise muscle protein synthesis response than the same amount of whey consumed alone.
A later randomized, double-blind study followed 35 recreationally active men during eight weeks of resistance training. Participants receiving 2 g of the complex with 15 g of whey protein recorded greater improvements in squat repetitions to failure and selected vertical-jump performance measures than groups receiving 15 g or 30 g of whey alone.
The eight-week study did not find greater increases in fat-free mass or muscle size compared with protein alone. VINATURA also notes that the published studies were funded by Nutrition21.
For this reason, VINATURA positions Velositol 2G as a product designed to complement dietary protein and regular exercise by helping support protein utilization, muscle protein synthesis, and selected training-performance measures.† It is not intended to replace adequate protein, regular exercise, or a balanced diet.
VINATURA Velositol 2G is made in the United States in a GMP-registered facility and tested by a third-party laboratory. A Certificate of Analysis is available through the VINATURA website.
The product uses vegan vegetable-cellulose capsules and is made without gluten, soy, tree nuts, or dairy. Each bottle contains 90 capsules, providing 30 servings.
Nutrition21 has introduced MyoVera as the new brand name for the patented ingredient previously known as Velositol. VINATURA’s current product continues to carry the licensed Velositol name during this ingredient-brand transition.
The suggested use is three capsules daily with a protein-containing meal or shake, in conjunction with regular exercise and a balanced diet.
