As a positive  displacement pump it will self prime and is more efficient and quieter than a gear pump, Both AC and DC motor options XD 4 is  a 15 l/min DC powered range with pressures to 4 bars. the motor is direct coupled permanent magnet . All surfaces employ durable materials for long life.
XD 9 model  is the AC powered model built with long term use in mind . Designed for high viscosity fluids used in extreme cold  environments  Excessive pressure drop caused by small pipe  can detrimental to system performance .These pumps produces flow and not pressure thus every rotation produces   a metered  volume   to the other side .Whatever system is connected to the pump has flow resistance, which is the source of  back pressure as the pumps works to maintain flow
