An immersive gallery event at Seven House Gallery blended art, legacy, and purpose-driven strategy, and gave a visionary founder her flowers.

BROOKLYN, N.Y. - May 20, 2026 - PRLog -- Empress Lanice officially opened the doors to Empress Lanice Media House (ELMH) — a full-service strategic marketing, public relations, and media production firm — before a room full of family, friends, collaborators, and clients who gathered to witness the beginning of something built to last on May 19.

A seasoned entrepreneur with 15 years of experience and three prior businesses, Empress Lanice founded ELMH to serve purpose-driven leaders and businesses.

"There are so many small businesses doing incredible work in their communities, but they're invisible or without the strategy to scale. ELMH exists to change that. You shouldn't have to choose between doing good and being profitable. We help purpose-driven businesses get seen, get paid, and build something that lasts," said Empress Lanice.

The launch event, powered by Seven House Gallery, unfolded as a living gallery experience. One wall chronicled Empress Lanice's family legacy; the other brought ELMH's mission and client work to life — including case studies for YSC Acupuncture, a multi-generational Korean family-owned clinic in Midwood, Brooklyn specializing in Traditional Korean Medicine, and New York Axium, the celebrated 1980s jazz fusion band co-founded by Empress Lanice's father, Darryl Chalmers. Surviving members Greg Sam and Hal Cohen worked with ELMH to honor their late bandmates — Ronnie Richardson, Mark Gatz, and Ron Connor — and preserve their legacy online.

The evening also featured a Silent Auction for an original painting by NYU student Auhana Hannan, who created a custom work representing Empress Lanice's family roots in Montserrat entitled "The Emerald Lady." All proceeds from the auction went directly to the artist.

The evening was sponsored by Lively Media Group (photography) and KL Optics (videography), and catered by Fresh Taste Bakery (as seen on GMA, NY Post, and MTV) and Chef Sean D Catering.

The night's most moving moment came from one of her guests, who compared Empress Lanice to Michael Jackson:

"I thank you for being such a big advocate of community, for being the light when it comes to women's empowerment and advancement, and just being such a sincere soul. Everyone probably saw the latest movie with Michael — I think you share that light for making a difference in the world. I just thank you for being who you are." — Desiree Kinney, founder of the Business Matchmaker.

The evening also celebrated Empress Lanice's NYU graduation (May 15), obtaining her 2nd Master's degree, her company launch (May 19), and her upcoming birthday (May 23) — three milestones, one extraordinary week.
