To mark National Relaxation Day on August 15, the Minneapolis practice is offering new clients a free 20-minute stress-check consultation, plus a take-home relaxation resource kit with grounding exercises and sleep tips.

"We spend so much of the year telling people to slow down, we figured we'd make it official for a day," said Dr. Amanda Mulfinger, founder of Cabot Psychological Services. "Relaxation isn't just a spa day. It's a skill, and a lot of people have never actually been taught how to do it."

The free consultation is available to anyone booking a first-time appointment between August 15 and August 22. Sessions can be done in person at the Minneapolis or Edina office, or virtually, and no diagnosis or referral is required.
