Earnings To Watch: BrightView (BV) Reports Q1 Results Tomorrow

Landscaping service company BrightView (NYSE: BV) will be reporting results tomorrow after market hours. Here’s what to look for.

BrightView missed analysts’ revenue expectations by 2.7% last quarter, reporting revenues of $599.2 million, down 4.4% year on year. It was a slower quarter for the company, with a miss of analysts’ Maintenance revenue estimates and a significant miss of analysts’ adjusted operating income estimates.

This quarter, analysts are expecting BrightView’s revenue to decline 3.9% year on year to $646.6 million, a reversal from the 3.5% increase it recorded in the same quarter last year. Adjusted earnings are expected to come in at $0.11 per share.

Analysts covering the company have generally reconfirmed their estimates over the last 30 days, suggesting they anticipate the business to stay the course heading into earnings. BrightView has missed Wall Street’s revenue estimates six times over the last two years.

Rollins delivered year-on-year revenue growth of 9.9%, meeting analysts’ expectations, and Waste Connections reported revenues up 7.5%, in line with consensus estimates.
