Renowned Amazon FBA expert Norman Farrar recently shared his thoughts on one of Amazon’s latest engagement aids, aptly named the Manage Your Customer Engagement (MYCE) tool. Amazon is currently rolling it out of beta, and to the delight of Amazon sellers, Farrar considers it one of the easier Amazon tools to use.

In the past, Amazon sellers could not engage in extended marketing communications. But with Amazon’s shift to helping small and big brands through its attempt to round out a complete marketing and sales ecosystem, the concept of offering a communications channel for marketing purposes between sellers and their customers is finally a reality.
The tool allows sellers to bring a deeper level of interaction with their customers and help with marketing efforts instead of simply spending too much on advertising keyword budgets. “Once approved, you’ll only need your brand logo, the item you want to promote, and an Amazon approved image to complete the setup process,” Farrar adds.
The article also points out, “Instead of the traditional method of competing and paying for common keywords, what this now enables is email marketing communication through the Amazon Platform.” The emails will come from Amazon itself, co-branded with a seller’s logo, allowing a brand to automatically utilize Amazon’s marketing power and brand recognition.
Although the MYCE tool is easy to use, templated for minimal setup, and free of charge, Farrar cautions there are a few initial requirements:
Have an Amazon customer engagement tool and the brand’s Amazon Store set up and launched.
The seller must own their brand and have it registered and approved through Amazon’s Brand Registry program.
The seller needs to have actual followers on their Amazon Store.
