Charlotte, North Carolina - MPN Cancer Connection has released a completely redesigned website that is an easy-to-use resource specifically created for the MPN (myeloproliferative neoplasm) community, empowering patients to be proactive while providing the necessary tools to be their own healthcare advocate.
The new website includes robust features including a free Clinical Trial finder that requires no personal information, a list of “doctor vetted” MPN experts, patient assistance programs, understanding MPNs, information on connecting with an Information Specialist as well as social media groups that provide online support.
The site boasts an improved user interface optimized for mobile users who account for a majority of traffic. The MPN Cancer Connection website was designed as a one-stop-shop for new and existing patients to learn more about their illness.
David Wallace, Executive Director of MPN Cancer Connection says, "We're super excited to announce the completion of our new website designed to better meet the needs of our growing community. I'm so proud of our team who worked together diligently on this important project.
Myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs) are a closely related group of progressive blood cancers where the body's bone marrow typically overproduces mature blood elements. Other shared features include tendencies toward blood clotting/bleeding, organ enlargement, bone marrow scarring (fibrosis), and a possibility of transformation. Three blood cancer types are categorized as "classic" MPNs: Primary Myelofibrosis (MF), Essential Thrombocythemia (ET), and Polycythemia Vera (PV)
MPN Cancer Connection gratefully acknowledges the generous support of our sponsors for making this initiative possible: Incyte, Bristol Myers Squibb, CTI BioPharma and PharmaEssentia.
