Micah McClendon joins Stange Law Firm, PC as an Associate Attorney serving Cook County, Illinois and the surrounding areas

CHICAGO - Oct. 17, 2022 - PRLog -- Stange Law Firm, PC is proud to announce that attorney Micah McClendon has joined the Chicago family lawyers as an Associate Attorney in the firm's Cook County, Illinois office location in Rolling Meadows, IL.

McClendon earned her undergraduate degree at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, focusing on Law, Justice, and Social Change. She went on to get her Juris Doctorate from the Chicago-Kent College of Law. While in law school, she was the President of the Black Law Students Association and an Alumni Relations Chair. McClendon was also an American Civil Liberties Union representative and volunteered at Chicago-Kent's Self-Help Web Center by assisting pro se litigants with legal paperwork and connecting them with resources.

Before joining the Chicago, Illinois divorce lawyers at Stange Law Firm, PC, McClendon worked for the Cook County Office of the States Attorney in Chicago, Illinois, as a law clerk in the Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence Division. She attended daily courtroom sessions, aided assistant state's attorneys by completing and filing legal paperwork, and researched legal questions pertaining to preliminary hearings and trials. She also worked as an Assistant State's Attorney for their Criminal Prosecutions Bureau. Her day-to-day consisted of reviewing hundreds of defendants' files, communicating with complaining witnesses to gather facts for successful prosecutions, and conducting relevant legal research in preparation for trials.
