W. R. Berkley Corporation (NYSE: WRB) today announced the appointment of Christopher L. Moede as president of Berkley Risk. He succeeds John (“Jack”) M. Goodwin, who has been named chairman of the business. The appointments are effective immediately.
Mr. Moede has more than 20 years of effective leadership experience in the commercial insurance market. Most recently, he led a global underwriting segment at a major multinational insurer. Mr. Goodwin joined Berkley Risk in 2012 and successfully served as its executive vice president before being named president in 2014.
