The update introduces always-on listening agents, audience demographics paired with OCEAN personality scoring, and native connections to AI assistants including Claude, ChatGPT, and Cursor, extending what the platform can extract from public conversations across six social networks.
The expansion arrives as marketing teams reconsider what social data is for. Conventional social listening tools and social media monitoring software report how often a keyword or a brand appears, a model built for alerting rather than analysis. Research teams increasingly need the layer beneath that count: the pain points driving a discussion, the objections repeated across a category, and the vocabulary an audience uses when describing a problem. Buzzabout treats social data as consumer research rather than mention counting, analyzing conversations on Reddit, TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, X, and LinkedIn in more than 30 languages.
The platform's engine works across text, audio, and video. Speech is transcribed, on-screen text is read, and objects and logos are detected in video frames, so trend analysis is not confined to written posts. Every mention is then labeled across ten dimensions, among them sentiment, emotion, intent, topic, tone, hook type, and narrative. Audience analysis adds profile demographics such as age, gender, geography, and profession alongside OCEAN psychographics, producing audience insights that engagement metrics alone do not supply. The new listening agents apply the same analysis continuously. Rather than only collecting new mentions, each agent processes them, extracting pain points and topics as configured, tracking daily mention volume, and issuing alerts on volume spikes, sentiment shifts, and newly detected pain points through Slack, email, or webhooks. A research assistant answers questions over the collected data with auditable tool calls, and findings can be shared as live, embeddable charts.
For teams that work inside AI tools, the platform's MCP connectors make its social data available directly within Claude, ChatGPT, and Cursor, while a social media data API supports custom research workflows.
"Marketers should not have to choose between speed and rigor," Surkov said. "The point of this expansion is that a question about an audience gets answered in minutes, with the underlying conversations attached."
Buzzabout is available with an introductory trial period, and the company operates partnership programs for agencies, creators, and educational institutions.
