The FLATFENDER® story began in 1977 when a sixteen-year-old Ohio enthusiast purchased a worn-out Willys CJ-2A and brought it back to life. What started as his kid-vision, ignited into a lifelong passion that evolved into a movement built around adventure, craftsmanship, community, and freedom.
