North Kingstown, RI Author Publishes Military Thriller Novel

By: PR Leap
(PRLeap.com) "The Last Letter II", a new book by SSgt. Jacob Parkinson, has been released by Dorrance Publishing Co., Inc.

A raw and cinematic new novel, a story that explores the unbreakable, often haunting bonds forged in the fires of war.

Following the tragic deaths of their comrades, Doherty and James, the veteran Marines of 1st Squad, 2nd Platoon, Bravo Co., find themselves at a crossroads. Led by Sgt. Parks, a man consumed by the "dark abyss of infamy" and the weight of his losses, the squad must decide if they will follow him once more. As Parks embarks on a violent mission of retribution, he is forced to confront the internal demons of his past. Meanwhile, his squad risks everything to save their leader from himself, seeking to fulfill a final objective of unbridled vengeance.

The narrative is rooted in a desolate night outside Fallujah two decades prior, a moment that pledged these battle-fatigued Marines to one another for eternity. Now, that same bond threatens to unravel the peace they've built at home, forcing them to ask: how far down the rabbit hole will loyalty take them?
