Premier Lacrosse League Delivers Record Viewership and Engagement in 2025 Regular Season

The Premier Lacrosse League (PLL) powered by Ticketmaster today announced record growth across business units through the 2025 Regular Season. Led by an all-time peak viewership high of 833,000 on ABC in Week 3, average viewership on ABC and ESPN grew 24 percent and 46 percent respectively, year-over-year.

“We’re thrilled to see such strong performances across ABC and ESPN this season,” said PLL Co-Founder and President, Paul Rabil. “Additionally, our social media presence delivered a 23% audience increase and generated 1.2 billion impressions – a testament to the commitment of our players, teams, and fans. With the playoffs ahead, we’re excited to build on this energy and showcase the best lacrosse in the world on the biggest stage.”

“This season’s onsite experience has set records. With ticketing revenue up 11%, including 12 sellout games, and two of the top five attendance weekends in league history in Chicago and Boston, we remain enthusiastic about our fan base and future growth opportunities,” said Mike Rabil, Co-Founder and CEO of the Premier Lacrosse League. “The passion of our fans and the growth of our game are fueling a live event atmosphere that’s can’t-miss come the PLL Playoffs.”

The PLL’s All-Star Game in Kansas City was the most-watched PLL game on ESPN, driven by inclusion in SportsCenter’s 50 States in 50 Days campaign, featured as the tour’s Missouri stop. PLL games in Boston and Chicago, were the highest attended of the regular season, with ticketing revenue up 11 percent year-over-year.

    • 12 event day sell outs

    • Sponsorship revenue +20% year-over-year
    • League first banking and automotive partnerships with US Bank and Lexus

    • Impressions +52% year-over-year
    • Total followers +23% year-over-year
    • 1.2 billion impressions year to date
  • Merchandise
    • On-site merchandise sales per cap +15%
  • PLL App
    • Content views +34.7% year-over-year
    • Avg. time spent in app +22.8% year-over-year
  • PLL Play
    • Total revenue +21% year-over-year
    • PLL Juniors revenue +100% year-over-year
    • 190 PLL Play events nationwide

The PLL US Bank Playoffs kick off Saturday, Aug. 23 at TCO Stadium in Minneapolis, exclusively streaming on ESPN+. The Eastern Conference’s Philadelphia Waterdogs will face the Maryland Whipsnakes at 6pm ET, followed by the Western Conference game between the Carolina Chaos and California Redwoods at 8:30pm ET.

Winners will face the New York Atlas and the Denver Outlaws respectively at the PLL Semifinals in Philadelphia on Sept. 1 at Subaru Park. The 2025 PLL US Bank Champion will be crowned on Sept. 14 at Sports Illustrated Stadium at 12:30pm ET on ABC and ESPN+.

ESPN and the PLL recently signed a new five-year media rights deal starting in 2026, covering all PLL and Women’s Lacrosse League (WLL) games across ESPN platforms. The agreement includes a minority equity investment by ESPN, furthering visibility and growth for both leagues with all games on ESPN+ and select broadcasts on ABC, ESPN, and ESPN2.
