What happened?
Shares of intimatewear and beauty retailer Victoria’s Secret (NYSE: VSXY)
jumped 5.1% in the afternoon session after several analysts raised their price targets and issued positive ratings for the company. According to StreetInsider, the shares rose after a run of favorable notes over the past week, tied to the fashion show and the setup into the third-quarter report.
Barclays analyst Adrienne Yih kept an Overweight rating and raised the target to $112 from $106, saying the firm is constructive into the quarter and that transaction and web-traffic data show momentum across the business.
Morgan Stanley analyst Alex Straton kept Overweight and lifted the target to $104 from $101, arguing the company went into this year’s fashion show with stronger demand than in prior years, so the show can amplify spending rather than having to create it.
Needham analyst Tom Nikic started coverage at Buy with a $106 target and called the retailer a momentum name with a runway into 2027, viewing it as early in a multi-year turnaround in management and product assortment.

What is the market telling us
Victoria's Secret’s shares are extremely volatile and have had 37 moves greater than 5% over the last year. In that context, today’s move indicates the market considers this news meaningful but not something that would fundamentally change its perception of the business.
The biggest move we wrote about over the last year was 11 months ago when the stock gained 12.3% on the news that the company reported third-quarter financial results that beat Wall Street's expectations and provided an encouraging forecast. The intimatewear retailer announced that its sales grew 9.2% year-on-year to $1.47 billion, surpassing analysts' estimates. The company's adjusted loss per share of $0.27 was also significantly better than the forecasted loss of $0.59. A key performance indicator for retailers, same-store sales, which measures growth at established locations, rose 8%. Looking ahead, the company issued revenue guidance for the fourth quarter that was above expectations. Furthermore, its full-year adjusted earnings per share guidance of $2.53 at the midpoint also topped consensus estimates, signaling confidence in its performance for the remainder of the year.
Victoria's Secret is up 79.3% since the beginning of the year, and at $95.68 per share, it is trading close to its 52-week high of $99.97 from August 2026. Investors who bought $1,000 worth of Victoria's Secret’s shares 5 years ago would now be looking at an investment worth $1,779.
