Vancouver, Canada – TheNewswire - November 4th, 2024 – Titan Discovery Corp. (“Titan” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Enrico Di Cesare as Chief Operating Officer, effective immediately. Mr. Di Cesare brings extensive expertise in mining, mineral processing, and metallurgy as a highly skilled metallurgical engineer with over 25 years of experience. His deep knowledge in sectors such as titanium, iron and steel, battery technology, and fertilizers uniquely positions him to lead Titan’s operational advancements as the Company strengthens its role in the strategic, uninterrupted supply of critical materials for global markets.
Executive Chairman, David B. Jackson, commented, “I’m thrilled to announce the appointment of Mr. Enrico Di Cesare as our new COO. Mr. Di Cesare joins us with a wealth of experience in mining and mineral processing. As a metallurgical engineer, he brings invaluable technical depth as we advance our resource development and operational goals. His unique expertise spans multiple sectors, including titanium production, iron and steel, battery technology, and fertilizers—each critical to our strategic growth. Mr. Di Cesare ’s patents align with Titan Discovery Corporation's goals to produce apatite (phosphate), ilmenite (titanium), and magnetite (iron), supporting the Corporation’s strategic focus on becoming a large-scale, low-cost producer of these materials while developing value-added products such as titanium metal, batteries, and steel recycling inputs.
More About Enrico Di Cesare: Mr. Di Cesare is a seasoned metallurgical engineer with extensive expertise in mining, mineral processing, hydrometallurgy, pyrometallurgy, operations, and management. His background includes equipment design and sales, turnkey project delivery, and commercialization of new processes, along with driving financial turnaround and cultural change in organizations. Mr. Di Cesare has optimized many of the world’s premier facilities in the titanium and iron sectors, including leading facilities in the USA, EU, Russia, and China. His unique experience spans both ferrous and non-ferrous metals, supported by a robust patent portfolio:
-
Iron Making and Ferro Alloys
-
Titanium Feedstock and Titanium Metal
-
Lithium and Battery Recycling
Iron Experience: Mr. Di Cesare possesses extensive expertise in iron production, including resource extraction, mining, concentrate processing, pelletizing, sintering, ironmaking (blast furnace, Direct Reduction Iron, and patented technologies), and steelmaking (Basic Oxygen and Electric Arc Furnaces). He has operational knowledge in casting and rolling across North America and Europe, including significant startups and ISO implementation for quality and safety. Mr. Di Cesare has advanced through the ranks as Manager of Operations, VP of Sales at Danieli Wean United, and Director of Metallurgy for consulting companies, providing technical oversight and optimizing total cost of ownership and decision-making for major clients in North America.
Titanium Experience: Mr. Di Cesare has in-depth experience with feedstocks (including patents), synthetic rutile (slag from melting concentrating TiO2), titanium pigment, and metal production. He has knowledge of operations and patented processes across North America, Australia, South Africa, and India, making feedstocks viable for all processes. His experience and expertise in pigment production for both new and existing processes, along with titanium metal and 3D printing, provide Titan Discovery Corp with unique insights into all areas of titanium processing.
Lithium Technology: Mr. Di Cesare developed patent-pending technology for unlocking spodumene (LiAlSi2O6) and connecting lithium to battery chemistries, including LiFePO4 crystals, a commonly used product in batteries. His expertise encompasses hard rock and brine lithium, focusing on integrating phosphate and lithium byproducts into fertilizer production. This experience is a natural complement to Titan Discovery’s phosphoric acid and fertilizer efforts.
Scandium and Vanadium Recovery: Mr. Di Cesare is skilled in solvent extraction for scandium and vanadium recovery, with expertise in optimizing acid-water balance. He uniquely combines pyrometallurgy and hydrometallurgy for optimized recovery of these elements, which are essential for producing high-strength steel and aluminum.
Phosphate and REE Production: Mr. Di Cesare has expertise in methods to concentrate apatite (Ca5(PO4)3F) crystals using flotation, which serves as a vital fertilizer feed and source of rare earth elements. For Titan Discovery Corp, the rare earth elements concentrate alongside the apatite, allowing for the collection of these critical elements as a byproduct. Fertilizer is an essential part of the food chain, and recovering byproducts during fertilizer production using Mr. Di Cesare’s processes reduces waste, lowers costs, and adds value.
Most importantly, the network of professionals and organizations collaborating with Titan Discovery Corp—including geologists, metallurgists, and blue-chip equipment vendors—enhances the resources of the Titan Discovery team. The combined expertise from our partners provides Titan Discovery Corp with capabilities not typically available in a junior company. The lessons learned while fast-tracking the objectives of Titan Discovery Corp will have broad applications for future projects.

About Titan Discovery Corp.
Titan Discovery Corp. ("TDC") is a critical minerals company advancing its Peninsula Project, a strategically significant brownfield development in Quebec, Canada. The project comprises several high-potential zones, with an initial focus on the Uffen Zone, a massive, recrystallized titanium-phosphate-iron deposit. Located near the world’s largest solid ilmenite deposit, the Lac Tio mine. This project benefits from excellent infrastructure, including low-cost electricity, skilled labor, and proximity to the St. Lawrence Seaway. Titan Discovery Corp plans to leverage the unique metallurgical characteristics of this recrystallized orebody to develop a world-class and low-cost supply of titanium, phosphate, iron, scandium, vanadium, and rare earth elements to supply global markets and support North American reindustrialization.
