Free guides explain lyophilized storage and stability, cold-chain transit, endotoxin and sterility testing, and net peptide content and salt forms
UNITED STATES, October 20, 2026 — Peptide Titans, a U.S.-based supplier of research-use-only peptide materials for laboratories, has published four open reference guides on how research peptides are stored, shipped and tested. The guides are free to read on PeptideTitans.com and require no registration.
Each guide addresses questions that come up when a laboratory receives, stores or documents a peptide:
- Peptide storage and stability. How lyophilized (freeze-dried) peptides are kept at room temperature, refrigerated and frozen, and why moisture, light and repeated temperature cycling matter.
- Cold chain and transit stability. What happens to sealed lyophilized peptides during shipping, and how a shipment should be handled on arrival.
- Endotoxin and sterility testing explained. What the Limulus amebocyte lysate (LAL) endotoxin assay and USP <71> sterility testing measure, and how their results appear on a certificate of analysis.
- Salt forms and net peptide content. Why trifluoroacetate (TFA) and acetate salt forms change the weight of a peptide powder, and how net peptide content differs from HPLC purity.
The guides are written in plain language for laboratory staff, students and research buyers, with references to published methods and standards where relevant. They describe how materials are handled, tested and documented. They do not describe any use of any compound.
The guides join the company’s other open resources in the Research section of PeptideTitans.com, including a database of compound reference profiles and a glossary of laboratory terms.
All four guides are available at https://peptidetitans.com/research/guides/.
