FRISCO, TX / ACCESSWIRE / October 28, 2024 / The Gas Training Association (GTA) Board of Directors has made the strategic decision to dissolve the organization, becoming effective by the end of 2024. To ensure the sustainability and accessibility of the critical resources developed by GTA, the board also voted to license its educational content to the Southern Gas Association (SGA), facilitating ongoing workforce development through the established programs of SGA.

As part of the transition, SGA will receive a perpetual, non-exclusive license to all GTA-developed content, valued at over $1.5 million. SGA has also committed to reinvesting a portion of the revenue generated from GTA's courses into the ongoing development and enhancement of these training materials for a minimum of four years.
The GTA board will ensure that current members and stakeholders are kept informed throughout the dissolution process, which is expected to be completed by December 2024. Key training programs will be incorporated into SGA's Learning Management System certificates and other available programs and will continue to support the industry's need for skilled professionals.
